Every international wire request must include a non-empty internationalWire.purposeCode. It describes the economic purpose of the payment. Use the code supplied by the beneficiary or required by their receiving bank. For example:
Purpose-code requirements vary by corridor. Use the beneficiary bank country’s enumerated list when one is available; otherwise use a general ISO 20022 code or the formatted value required by the receiving bank. Browse Purpose code values for every code currently exposed by Slash. A receiving institution may still reject a code that does not fit the payment. Some destination countries also require internationalWire.remittanceInfo. When it is required, describe the payment clearly enough for the receiving institution to apply it.
