An ACH can be returned by the receiving bank after it settles. When this happens:
  • the Transfer moves to returned
  • ach.returnCode and ach.returnReason identify the network outcome when available
  • Transfer.transactionIds gains the return Transaction id
  • the return Transaction appears in GET /v2/transactions
The original source Transaction remains part of the Transfer. Reconcile the return as a separate account impact instead of replacing the original debit. Retrieve all related entries with:
